About me
Alisha Kirby has been a part of CSBA’s communications team for seven years. As a senior writer, she has developed stories highlighting the successes of local educational agencies throughout the state, as well as the numerous challenges they face. In recent years, she has helped to reinvigorate the association’s social media presence by developing strategies to increase organic engagement, providing high-quality images, ensuring regular updates and developing content that members need and want to see.
A graduate of California State University, Sacramento’s journalism program, Alisha’s middle and high school years were colored by the early impacts of social media. This has provided insight into both the benefits and pitfalls the ever-continuing expansion of social media plays in how the public seeks out and consumes information, and how LEAs can use it to their advantage.
