Dr. Aqeela J. El-Amin Bakheit, Trustee for Board Member Area 1, holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Keiser University Graduate School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A dedicated community leader, she has been an active NAACP member since 2002, serving in various leadership roles, and has contributed to the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate since 2015. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Lake County Chapter President of the Retired Public Employees Association, and enjoys engaging the public through speaking engagements and her long-running radio program “Women’s Voices” on
kpfz.org. Committed to the board’s mission, Dr. Bakheit approaches her role with clarity, dedication, and a strong commitment to community service.
