About me
With over 20 years of experience, Jerusha Waelty is committed to expanding access to oral health care in underserved communities. She began as a Registered Dental Assistant before earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of the Pacific in 2005. Her career includes work in community clinics, private practices, public health projects, and international dental missions. In 2022, she earned her Alternative Practice license and joined Smile Keepers to launch a school-based dental program in Calaveras County. Passionate about early prevention, Jerusha integrates dental education into preschool programs and works closely with children with special needs. She lives in Sonora in the Sierra Foothills and enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
